🍌 Easy & Healthy Banana-Raspberry Baked Oats
Have you ever heard of baked oats? If not, you're in for a treat. This cozy breakfast dish has taken TikTok and Instagram by storm—and for good reason. Baked oats transform humble ingredients into a soft, cake-like delight that feels indulgent but is secretly wholesome.

🌾 What Are Baked Oats?
Baked oats are essentially oatmeal reimagined. Instead of cooking oats on the stovetop, you blend them with other ingredients and bake them in the oven. The result? A warm, fluffy, almost dessert-like breakfast that’s endlessly customizable.

This particular recipe is egg-free and can easily be made vegan by using plant-based milk. It’s perfect for busy mornings or slow weekend brunches.

🥣 Ingredients (Serves 2)
1 ripe banana
100g rolled oats
120ml milk (dairy or plant-based)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
A handful of fresh raspberries
Extra rolled oats for topping

🔄 Instructions
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Blend the base: In a mixer or blender, combine the banana, rolled oats, milk, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Prepare your ramekins: Lightly grease two 10cm ramekins or use a small baking dish. Pour the mixture evenly into each.
Add the fruit: Gently press raspberries into the batter. This adds bursts of tart sweetness and a pop of color.
Decorate: Sprinkle a few rolled oats on top for texture and a rustic look.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is set and slightly golden.
Serve warm and enjoy straight from the ramekin—or let cool slightly for a firmer texture.

đź’ˇ Baking Tips
Ripe bananas are key! They add natural sweetness and moisture.
Don’t overblend—you want a smooth batter, but keeping a little texture from the oats gives a nice bite.
Customize it: Swap raspberries for blueberries, chopped nuts, or dark chocolate chips.
Make it ahead: Bake the night before and reheat in the morning. It’s just as delicious!
Use oven-safe mugs if you don’t have ramekins—just adjust baking time slightly.

To be honest, I hadn’t heard of baked oats until a friend shared this recipe with me. It reminded me of my oatmeal banana cake—another breakfast favorite. And when served in glass ramekins, these baked oats look just like mini dessert cakes. Don’t you agree?
